According to Cinematical roughly 20 minutes of footage from Sacha Baron Coen’s Bruno will be shown at the South by Southwest 2009 film festival. We have heard so little about this recently that I almost forgot about it. Last year we got reports of filming taking place, such as when Sacha Baron Coen, dressed as the flamboyant Austrian, managed to get onto the catwalk during Milan’s Fashion week (getting arrested as a result). We have also seen pictures of him harassing Arnold Schwarzenegger and he even tricked a former Israeli spy and Palestinian academic into appearing in the film which they thought was a serious documentary on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Ha!
Bruno is set to be released in July, so we should be getting a glimpse of it soon. I have a feeling it will be just as hilarious as Borat!
