There had been rumours floating around that a fairly unknown British actress named Gemma Arterton had landed a role in the next Bond film, currently called Bond 22. Well now it is confirmed. Gemma has only two current credits in her filmography, however she has three upcoming and can now add one more. Landing this role will no doubt launch her into the ‘up and coming’ section of stars. The next Keria Knightly if you will. The role was highly speculated, some thought she may be Moneypenny due to her ’sexy yet normal’ looks, however she will not be the ‘Eva Green’ of Bond 22. So far the information that has been released by The Hollywood Reporter is that her characters name is ‘Fields’ and the role is a ‘nice sized’ one. The main Bond girl is still thought to be Mexican and there is still no actress confirmed as of yet.

In other news related the the females of Bond, Judi Dench has been spotted filming in London. The people over at MI6.co.uk are the ones with the goods and can exclusively reveal that the images seem to be ‘where M is out of her office.’ By looking I wouldn’t have actually noticed. Bond 22 (rumoured to be titled 007) will be released in November and is directed by Marc Foster.
