Best Movies of 2011 (so far)

We’re nearly half way through 2011 and we’ve already had some great movies. Before we wander too deeply into the VFX and explosion-filled summer movie season I decided to make a list of the best movies of 2011 released so far, based on reviews from critics and movie fans.

    Is anyone else surprised at how much Thor dropped AFTER the US release? It was staying strong with positive reviews and high numbers, then the release came in the US and it dropped..

    Great list. Bridesmaids, X-Men and Rango were on my list, while Adjustment Bureau, Limitless, Source Code and Lincoln Lawyer were honourable mentions. I loved the bits of Thor set on earth, but kept laughing at all the wrong moments at the villain’s costume and their home planet. You can read my list from South Africa at
