Rob Zombie’s Halloween was hated on by a lot of folks. I’m a huge fan of the original series, and I gotta say, I didn’t hate Zombie’s film as much as other people. I wasn’t a huge fan when I left the theatre, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. In fact, I’d even borderline say I loved it. Zombie took an old film, and recreated it in his own eyes. You can’t beat the original. There is no way. It just wasn’t possible. But Zombie did the best he could, and I liked it. Fans of the original series went into it already hating it, so there was no way they were going to be satisfied.
Anyways, I’m ranting, and that’s not the point of this article. Zombie’s Halloween is being released on a 2-Disc special edition on December 18th. To promote the DVD release, those technical wizards over at the Halloween website created a sort of ‘first person shooter’ game where you actually BECOME Michael Myers, and hunt down nubile teens in the Myers house.
For a stupid time waster, it’s awesome. Seriously. I could probably waste my day away at work playing, if not for the fact that they track the websites you visit.
