The Avengers line-up revealed

Some Iron Man 2 footage was shown at Comic-Con yesterday (read a description of what was seen here) and afterwards producer Kevin Feige took part in a Q&A session. As Marvel have IM2, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers coming up there are hundreds of questions people would like to ask, however one person asked a question everyone wants to know: Which heroes will be in The Avengers line-up?

I think we know. I think it’s going to be Iron Man and Thor, Captain America and Nick Fury. I think it’s safe to assume that there will be some members of the Hulk universe in the film as well. In terms of the additional I think Black Widow, sure. The SHIELD organization for sure. What’s exciting, for me, about The Avengers movie is seeing those four characters interact with each other. I think anywhere from the first issues of The Avengers to Civil War the dynamic between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark is just awesome, it’s fascinating. It brings out sides in others that won’t be brought out in the other franchises. Going forward with the mix is a whole other thing, I think it will be cool. So to pile on another 15 or 10, frankly more than four would be too many.

Is the Hulk in it?

Zak Penn is outlining it as we speak, so we’ll see.

In the past there has been talk of The Hulk actually being a villain in the film, which I think would be kinda cool.

What do you think of the line-up? Are there any other characters you think should appear in the film?

aint War Machine going to be in The Avengers movie cause he needs to be in the movie. also they need to include The Hulk to kick some ass too.

also i would like Marvel to do Dr Strange, Black Panther, Hawkeye movie

I second that, especially the Dr Strange movie. The animated movie was so good.. :) Just think how awesome a full blown big budget Marvel movie would be. Like, it's a shame Marvel doesn't have rights to all the famous characters like Spider-Man, and he X-Men, but they still have some of the best ones.

For the first movie, sure, 3 Avengers is good, along with Black Widow. I think the 4 of them would be a good, solid start. I DO want them to expand though, and hopefully add in Ant-Man, Wasp, Vision, Hawkeye, ect, in the next Avengers movies. (god willing) :D

As much as I would love Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in the mix, I know it can't happen, because Fox still has X-Men rights. Grr. Exceptional loss, especially in regards to Wanda. I love Wanda. ;.; She was always my favorite Avenger.

I'd love to see Spiderman and Wolverine thrown up in the mix, but truth be told, it'll be too complicated for the team who's putting the movie together. Anyway, it's like "vcurtz" said in the post before me, it is a shame that Marvel doesn't have rights to Spiderman and Xmen... Anyway, Black Panther was part of the original Avengers so i'd like to see him in there. And I seriously think The Hulk will be the BEST "villian" for the movie. Who else could stand against Thor, Captain America and Iron Man? Or maybe my dream can be fulfilled and I can get to see Dr. Doom and Iron Man slugging it out. Not likely. You have to admit it'd make a very good movie.

They already had Hulk as a sortof villain in the first Ultimate Avengers movie, with ALL the Avengers fighting him and pretty much losing. Having just 4 of them fight him and win would just make Hulk seem like he isn't actually that tough.

Anyhow, how would Black Widow fight him when Hulk gets hit by rockets and doesn't get harmed?

When they get the full team of Avengers assembled, maybe they could fight Baron Zemo and the Masters of Evil. Maybe one day then, we might see a Thunderbolts movie!
