New ‘Bolt’ Poster

A new poster for the upcoming Bolt film has appeared online. I guess this is the epitome of a teaser poster, because it doesn’t tell you anything about the movie. Only that John Travolta and Miley Cyrus are in the film… which, I guess would be enough for most teenage girls!

New Mummy Trailer!

And here, we have yet another The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor trailer. This one adds a bunch of new scenes that we haven’t seen before, including a glimpse at Rick and Evelyn’s son, Alex (who looks like he’s in his 20s now… and is played, in fact, by 26 year old Luke Ford).

Still don’t know how I feel about this without Rachel Weisz!

I Don’t Know How Much More Of This I Can Take…

…IT’S SO ADORABLE!

Here’s a three and a half minute clip from WALL-E, featuring an extended look at one of the scenes shown in the trailers.

Some have said that this might be a case of “cute overload,” but I don’t think that’s true… Pixar has a habit of being cute, and this only adds to that. Plus, this gives a good idea about how they’re handling the dialogue in this movie, which I have really been wondering about.

Check it out!

New ‘Burn After Reading’ International Trailer!

Okay, I have to admit that I hadn’t heard ANYTHING about this movie until I saw the first trailer.  Now, another trailer has popped up with a whole crapload of new scenes.  Looks AWESOME.

I love seeing Brad Pitt in funny roles, because he can actually pull it off!

New ‘The Rocker’ Poster!

All I can say is… HOT!  A new poster for The Rocker, starring Rainn Wilson playing an aging drummer for his nephew’s band, has appeared online!

Check out all the nipple-icious Rainn-ey goodness…

Will Smith Is Box Office GOLD

Hancock is set for release on July 2, and is set to make an estimated $150 MILLION over the five-day Fourth of July weekend! This will make his EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE $100 MILLION grossing movie!  Something no other actor has been able to accomplish.

Here are some interesting numbers:

MOST $100 MILLION MOVIES IN A CAREER (List includes animated films and excludes cameos)
1. Tom Hanks — 15
2. Tom Cruise — 14
3. Eddie Murphy — 13
4. Will Smith — 12 (including Hancock)
4. Harrison Ford — 12
6. Jim Carrey — 11
6. Robin Williams — 11
8. Mel Gibson — 10
9. Matt Damon — 9
10. Bruce Willis — 8
10. Jack Nicholson — 8

Will’s streak started with Men in Black II, and continued with Bad Boys II, I, Robot, Shark Tale, Hitch, The Pursuit of Happyness, and I Am Legend, and will continue with Hancock, which is estimated to make upwards of $280 million domestically.

Damn! Wish we had Will’s golden touch!

This will put him in front of Hollywood legends Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise for the most consecutive $100 million grossers!  His next movie, Seven Pounds (helmed by Pursuit director, Gabriele Muccino), is set for release in December and could make his ninth!

This Week In Lawsuits

Everywhere you look, people are suin’ mad!

Queen Latifah has sued Perfect Christmas Productions, the production company behind The Perfect Holiday (2007, starring Terrance Howard and Gabrielle Union) for breach of contract. The Queen says that she has not been paid for her cameo in the movie. She’s seeking $275,000. Even though the movie was basically a dud, only making $5.8 million domestically and scoring a 2.3 on IMDb (#91 in the bottom 100 rated movies…ouch!), the production company had been able to raise millions from third party investors to make the film. Latifah did her job, and girl just wants to get paid! Chances are this will be settled relatively quickly.  They wouldn’t want to ruin their image before the DVD release!

Also throwing his hand into the suing pot is the son of Godfather creator, Anthony Puzo.  What’s got his gun in a twist?  Apparently, Paramount Pictures failed to pay him royalties for the 2006 video game they released based on his father’s work! Mario Puzo died in 1999, and Anthony is in charge of his estate, which includes an agreement with Paramount to receive a “significant share” of the revenues from any audio or visual products that included elements of “The Godfather” films…which OBVIOUSLY includes video games! Puzo is seeking $1 million for this breach of contract issue.  I don’t blame him! Why do big studios think they can just use people’s work and not pay them?  First New Line versus Peter Jackson and the Tolkien estate, now this! Note to studios: Stop pissing off the people behind your money makers!

Megan Fox Talks Transformers 2

In a new interview, Megan “Just Look Hot” Fox talks about the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

“As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts,” she told [MTV] about “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. “Shia and I make out a little bit; I don’t know if anyone wants to see that.”

Something tells us that Shia LeBeouf wants to see it.

Regardless, Megan insisted that the blossoming romance between Sam and Mikaela is only one of the many plotlines Bay will be juggling for the June 2009 flick. But according to the actress, some last-minute scrambling has been taking place to make sure their romance can hold its own among all those Autobot vs. Decepticon showdowns.

“You know, we’ve been having script meetings, and we’ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer’s strike,” she explained. “And, we’ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they’re in.”

“I can tell you that we’re on locations in some really exotic places,” she added. “It’s just going to be a badass movie. It’s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.”

As for Michael Bay’s main directorial input to his lead actress, Megan had this to say: “His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best.”

Sounds like she’s in for an easy paycheck!

I don’t know about everyone else, but I didn’t mind the Sam/Mikaela storyline in the first film.  And it would only be natural to continue developing it for the second one.

Can’t wait to see 10 times the explosions, though!

P.S. Shia, we all hate you right now.
