Oh no he di’int! James Cameron calls Tim Burton silly!

While revealing we won't be seeing a teaser trailer for Avatar anytime soon, James Cameron also had a few things to say about Tim Burton filming Alice in Wonderland in 2D, and then converting it into 3D during post-production. From FirstShowing: When asked about his opinions on other filmmakers, specifically Tim Burton and his work on the upcoming Alice in Wonderland, Cameron openly criticized Burton's decision to convert to 3D after the fact. It "doesn't make any sense to shoot in 2D and convert to 3D," Cameron said. And…

Q. How is Wolverine coming along? Lauren Shuler Donner: It’s good… it’s very good. I’m very pleased with it. It’s very much an origins story. It’s very much in the tone of the first X-Men. Q. A few 3D events have been taking place around the globe recently, and one man attending a few of them is Avatar director James Cameron. With this knowledge, some have speculated that Cameron would choose one of these events to showcase some much anticipated footage of Avatar, seeing as though the film will itself be in 3D. Well those damn speculators have got our hopes up for no reason yet again! Marketsaw spoke to the main man himself, James Cameron, who revealed the following information about when we may…

Kevin McKidd still Thor contender

Rome actor Kevin McKidd told IGN that he is still a contender for the lead role in Thor, and that there's been "a lot of back and forth" about the project lately, however nothing has been determined. He acknowledged that Kenneth Branagh is directing it, a choice that makes him even more excited about the film. Kevin McKidd was apparently in the running for the role last year when Marvel were actively working on it. They stopped briefly to see how Iron Man would get on, and are now aiming…

Coolness: Man’s image gets used in Iron Man

While browsing the internet I came across a rather cool story about a man called Jeremy Keith, a web developer living and working in England. I will put an excerpt below and you can read the full thing by going to his site. “Hi. I sent you two emails about using a picture of yours…” “Ah, right!”, I said. I then launched into my usual spiel about Creative Commons licencing. I explained that she was free to use my picture. All she had to do was include a credit somewhere in…

Planet of the Apes Prequel in the works

There has been talk for a while that 20th Century Fox were thinking about bringing the Planet of the Apes world back to life. Some thought it would be a remake of Conquest of the Apes, however now have some new information courtesy of Chud: Fox is still excited about this property, and now they've put the film into the hands of writer/director Scott Frank. The film is now called Caesar. Caesar is not a remake of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. This is a fact that Frank can't…

New Moon to Start Filming in March

I am sure everyone is fully aware of Twilight and the huge amount of money it has made since it was released. As of now the film has tripled it's budget, so it's no surprise Summit Entertainment want to get their fangs out again for a second round. After the huge opening weekend Summit officially greenlight the sequel, New Moon, and now Kristen Stewart told Ryan Seacrest on KiisFM that filming would begin as early as next March. I haven't seen Twilight and don't intend to. Infact I am getting…

From Dark Horizons: According to scooper 'Steve' he says that Miller indicated that if the project does get going again, he expects that it'll be recast as "the studios seem to want bigger stars in their superhero movies now." Miller must be disappointed, as he tried his hardest to get it made. He attepted to get it filmed in Australia so it could benefit from the…

First Look at Taylor Kitsch as Gambit in Wolverine

The latest issue of Empire magazine contains a cool article on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and one of the many images embedded in the article gives us our first official look at Taylor Kitsch as Gambit. Ideally Gambit would have shown up in the trilogy, however I have a feeling fans will be happy with what they do with the character in Wolverine. From what we have seen so far (in blurred footage) there is some staff wielding action, acrobatics and the usual card tricks and explosions. I'm just wondering whether they will…
