As we all know, The Hobbit will be split into two movies and so far they have been referred to as The Hobbit: Part 1 and The Hobbit: Part 2. Other movies split into two such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn have also used this method for naming the films, but Warner Bros. may be looking at changing the titles so that they are similar style to The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Ringer Spy Mr. Underbelly monitors movie titles that are registered by major film studios. Mr. Underbelly noticed that New Line has recently registered the following two film titles:
The Hobbit: There and Back Again
The Hobbit: An/The Unexpected Journey
From these I would assume An/The Unexpected Journey is the first film as it deals with the start of the journey, with There and Back Again being the title for the second film. Nothing has been made official yet though, so Warner Bros. may just be experimenting with different titles.
Would you be happy with these titles if Warner Bros. decided to go with them? Or would you prefer them simply being called Part 1 and Part 2?
