Alexander Skarsgard on Thor. He hasn’t received the call

Two weeks ago we crossed Channing Tatum off the list of actors who were in the running to play Thor, now it could be time to cross Alexander Skarsgard’s name off that list too. Skarsgard has been rumored ever since he was spotted having lunch with director Kenneth Branagh last month.

During an interview about True Blood with The Fifth Letter of the Alphabet, Skarsgard was asked point blank whether or not he will be playing Thor. “No, I don’t think so,” the actor replied. “I haven’t gotten the call, so…”

Now I know that isn’t much quoting to go on, but I have narrowed what this could mean down to a few points:

1) They’ve lost his number
2) They haven’t decided who they want play Thor yet, hence not calling
3) They haven’t called because they’ve found another 6ft+ blonde haired dude who they prefer

Having visited a number of fan boards/sites I saw that the majority seemed to like the idea of casting Alexander Skarsgard. Either way, I hope we find out who’ll be playing Thor soon as all of this guessing, assuming and speculating is getting tiresome!
