I don't think it would work. This was supposed to be one of the most incredible battles in history, and it surely was an epic movie. The sequel would have to be ten times as exciting, and I'm not sure the Spartans of that time have any other claim to fame. Are there any history buffs out there who might know a thing or two about the time period and could shed a little light on possible storylines?

As long as its a prequel I'd go see it. I thought the cast and the visual style of this film were the best parts of it. The story was interesting, but lets face it, it played second fiddle to the battles and Leonitus running around shouting at everyone.

I already own a 300 Blu-Ray edition. Does this mean some kind of get-fans-to-repurchase-for-special-features ploy?
