Spider-Man 4 Gets New Writer
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony are in final talks with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire to write Spider-Man 4. Zodiac screenwriter James Vanderbilt has already written the first draft, so whether Lindsay-Abaire will be brought in to do re-writes or to completely start from scratch is unknown.
Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are back, as are producers Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad. Kirsten Dunst also is expected to return.

If you have a spare five minutes you may be interested in watching a new super long trailer for The Day the Earth Stood Still. I wouldn't say I'm excited for this but it does look somewhat interesting. The effects look rather cool and you can tell 20th Century Fox have thrown some money at it. But then again, I once threw money at a hooker and it wasn't very good.
