Tom Cruise and Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi are setting up Sleeper at Warner Bros, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sleeper was a comic book series written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips and published by DC Comics under their Wildstorm imprint.
Sleeper centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass it on to others through skin contact. Simon Pegg today revealed that he will no longer be appearing in Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards.
"I won't be appearing in QT's forthcoming Inglorious Bastards due to insurmountable scheduling difficulties. We really tried to make it work but in the end, it just was not possible without severe ramifications elsewhere."
However, there is some good news in the Pegg department. His next film with onscreen partner Nick Frost, entitled Paul, will be directed by Superbad director Greg Mottola.
