Jason Gets A Director

Though it’s been ruminating over at New Line for the past two years, it looks as if the Friday The 13th remake is finally getting some steam.

Marcus Nispel has been signed on to helm the remake of one of the world’s most famous slasher franchises. You may know the name from a few places: He directed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake back in 2003 (a movie that was nowhere near as terrible as it should have been), and has also been attached to American McGee’s Alice for quite some time. However, he did do Pathfinder, a movie that I have

Avatar and Dragon Ball Z Casting!

This casting news may just have been released late as filming for Avatar has been going on a while. Matt Gerald has been cast as a villian in the film, most likely a military type person who wants to destroy the aliens they find on Pandora. Matt is known for being violent with credits such as xXx: State of the Union, S.W.A.T. and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. All of them roles have him involved with a gun or weapon so no doubt he will get some action in Avatar. Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Z has got

Raimi on Spiderman 4 Director

What I gathered from Spiderman 3's release was that making huge movies really takes it out of Sam Raimi. He was under a lot of pressure from the studio and the fans to produce a quality third instalment. Some loved it, some thought too much was crammed into one film . Overall I thought it was great, apart from the dancing, what the hell was that? Wizard got a chance to talk to the man himself. Looking back, you've worked on Spider-Man in some way for nearly eight years. Has the excitement stayed with you? RAIMI: I'm just as

Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash is finally here!

Back in August 2003, a little movie called Freddy vs Jason came out. For the first time in years, these two horror icons stood face to face in the ultimate battle royale. The movie cost about $25 million to produce, but made New Line Cinema well over $115 million in worldwide gross. Of course, as soon as the film was a success, rumblings of a sequel began. The only logical way to go for the next installment would be to bring in yet another horror icon: none other than Ashley J. Williams of Evil Dead. Jeff Katz was brought in to

Michael Bay to play with fans minds!

Michael Bay didn't like his experience with Transformers internet-wise. There was a script leak, image leaks and an unfinished TV spot leaked, causing fans to complain, rant and moan. Thankfully everything turned out well and Transformers was great. However, Bay told Rotten Tomatoes about his plans for the fans second time round. "One thing I do know is I know how to screw them up more," said Bay. "We're going to leak a lot of false information all over the place. I now know their game. They're going to get a lot of script treatments

Tim Kring Apologizes For ‘Heroes’

See, I like this. At least he is man enough to admit that he is wrong. After a few lackluster episodes (that came after a lackluster season finale), Tim Kring has come out and apologized to his fans. That's right, he said he was sorry that Heroes has sucked this year. You have to admire that. Jeff Jensen, over at Entertainment Weekly, posted an semi-interview today with Tim Kring where he goes on to list everything he knows is wrong about this season of Heroes...and how he is going to fix it. Directly from EW.com: THE PACE IS TOO SLOW ''We

LOST To Begin On Monday!

Sorta. Sorry to get your hopes up. But at least I'm not completely wrong. According to Entertainment Weekly, those Lost 'mobisodes' that were originally intended for Verizon Wireless customers have been finished. You know what I'm talking about, right? Come on, remember about a year ago when they said they were going to have two to three minute mobisodes, and then we never heard anything about them again? Really? Oh, well, I guess I'm just a hardcore Lost nerd then. Seriously. It's my favorite show, I'm allowed to be geeky, alright? Anyways, yes, we shall begin getting our daily Lost fix, albeit in

Beowulf Clips!

When the Beowulf trailers first appeared there were some people that thought it didn't look any good at all. It apparently looked like a game and was trying to copy 300 (I AM BEOWULF!!!). However, as its release date nears, there have been some pretty good reviews, and some newly released clips that look rather cool. You can view these clips over at Joblo Video.
