First Look at Mutant Chronicles!

Stills for upcoming sci-fi The Mutant Chronicles have appeared online. These are the first we have seen of the film, and they don't look too bad, at least it has a good cast. The film has took a spear out of 300's book and have used green/blue screen a great deal, which has reduced the cost of making, but alters the end result. I will not judge a film on stills alone, so I will wait for the trailer before I judge. Some stills can be seen below, and more over at Omelete

Avatar Begins Filming In Wellington!

We wrote earlier in the week about how Michelle Rodriguez was going to New Zealand to film Avatar, before going back to the US before Christmas for her jail sentence. Well The Dominion Post is reporting that filming has officially begun. A secret Wellington location was uncovered yesterday where 80 imitation-gun-toting, camo-wearing stuntpeople and actors had gathered for days of rehearsals. Halle Berry’s ‘Nefertiti’ Should be ‘Epic’!

Halle BerryWhen you achieve something special by using a certain method, you usually want to stick to that method and re-use it at some point. The 'something special' was Halle Berry winning an Oscar for her performance in Monster's Ball, and the 'method' was director Marc Foster. And repeating that method is what they intend to do. Since their success in 2001, Halle has completed the X-Men Trilogy and starred in a few misses, but hopefully her upcoming 'Things We Lost In The Fire' will be better. Foster
